The members of Wise Up are well aware that prevention is the best ally of women in the battle against cancer.
Based on this idea and with the support of the reliable company DAEDALUS Life Insurance & Reinsurance Brokers, we built our vision and we decided to take action in order to protect each woman.

Our goal is to raise awareness about the types of female cancer so as to strongly contribute to the prevention and the final treatment.

Women worldwide are likely to show breast cancer sometime during their life. A large number of these are in need of immediate surgical intervention.
EVERY 2 MINUTES
A woman worldwide is diagnosed with breast cancer. It is envisaged that the total number of patients with breast cancer will be 50% higher in 2030 compared to 2011.
THE MOST COMMON FORM
Breast cancer is the most common cancer in women worldwide. The percentages are increasing, particularly in developed countries, where the majority of cases are diagnosed in the metastatic stage.
OVER 95% HEALED
Investigations in 2016 proved that 1 million women worldwide become ill each year from breast cancer. Diagnosis and treatment in the early stages can help more than 95% of breast cancer cases to be cured.

The cervical cancer occupies 4% of all cases of each type of cancer. Breast cancer occupies only 12%.

In Greece, it is estimated that every year about 600 new cancer cases are diagnosed. This means more than 11 women a week.

The cervical cancer is the second most common cancer in women worldwide, after breast cancer.
TIMELY DIAGNOSIS SAVES
Half a million women are diagnosed with cervical cancer each year worldwide. A significant number of these cases can be cured if they are diagnosed early.
